I went to this school and they had the best doctor and now they have Dr dixit and she is the worst dentist I have ever been to they treated me so bad and she had student doing the work without her watching it was so bad I could not believe what I was going through this I did not get anything done and they took my money.they also wanted 1 thousand dollars for a top denture so I went to affordable dentures and they was so professional and they treated me like there own family I can't tell everyone how serious I am if you go to this school you will lose your money and then try to charge you outrageous price.affordable dentures is way better theeth and half the price with same day service
Poorly run school. They put focus on getting individuals in the door versus retaining them. There is not much concern about one's learning experience, or future success, it's more about how many people they can fill the room with through grant money. There will be a lot of lip service about the care of your success, but the actions do not match the words. They may do one thing productive and then cause three other issues for you. The massage therapy program could be excellent. Sadly, the instructor's brain is all over the place. Very poor with time management and immature leadership. Our materials list was inaccurate on day one. This caused confusion for several weeks. The instructor will just raise her voice at students as if they are supposed to fix the issue created by her and the school. We were to wear uniforms 5 days per week, with their school shirt. They only had one available to us. We were able to get a second one several weeks in. We were told to buy specific books that were no longer in print or were double the cost at the bookstore than they were online. The instructor definitely wants a do as I say not as I do environment. There's very little skill offered here in teaching individuals of all ages and professional backgrounds. It's more of an authoritative experience as if each person is just getting out of middle school. If you express valid concerns of unethical behavior by the instructor, the administration will attempt to flip the concern back on the student, somehow making it the students fault. I think they are so used to their dysfunctional environment, they believe it's normal to lead people this way. This is how you "control" the classroom I guess. I find it sad that this school is accredited and able to receive federal, state and VA benefits for students in the greatest need of support, good education and leadership, yet they seem to think talking down to, gossiping, gas lighting, targeting, lying about individuals and harassing them while they are attempting to retain an immense amount of new information is the best way to lead. I stuck it through as long as I could based on some serious goals I have, but could no longer invest another day of my quality of life at this location. I left with only 14 weeks until graduation with a 4.0 GPA. I was referred to this program by a colleague who knew the previous instructor of the massage program. I didn't realize leadership changed and has become a much different environment since. You definitely get what you pay for and I can now see why grant money isn't always the best way to get an education. It offered me more mental abuse, lost time and frustrating conversations. If leadership was held accountable for their actions, this would be an amazing program. When they do attempt to hold the leader accountable for unethical behavior, they ensure they find a way to also make you feel responsible for the leader's actions. The victim of poor leadership and mental abuse is the one largely at fault. There's just a very poor display of authenticity, ownership and authentic leadership here. I hope others who really need this program can have a better experience. Being prepared for a successful career does not have to feel like a mental mind game. It really can be a much more enjoyable and productive experience.
If you're serious about nursing, go to a better school. Never waste your time on your education.
Erwin is very poorly run. The administration is lazy and likes to put the blame on teachers even though they don't hire people when others quit. Didn't have our books the first day because Erwin didn't order the books. Then they nickel and dime you at every single opportunity. Don't buy anything from Erwin..it's all incredibly overpriced. They also provide babysitters when the teacher is out for the day. It's incredible to be in an adult environment yet being given a babysitter and "busy work". If I could rate 0 stars I would.
I don't know how this school is today, but I graduated from the court reporting program 10 years ago (2012). I left this school with a great career and no student loan debt. Shout out to Caron Patnode for being an amazing teacher. I'll forever be grateful to her and Erwin for setting me on the path to success.
Started out the first 10 months of the LPN program with the absolute worst teacher and experience I have ever been through. They eventually got us 2 new teachers who are trying their best, but only after we started emailing the superintendent. Graduate in September and we are having to cram 4 months worth of knowledge into less than 2 months. Faculty acted like we were just complaining to complain when we were in dire need of someone to help us get the education we deserve. We will never get back the time and money we spent for this horrible educational experience so proceed with caution.
The union building trades has safety training classes here on the weekends. I'm one of the instructors here and other than have a classroom that looks like a hospital room, it's a great place work.
I have been at this school since 2017. The medical coding class was great and my teacher was amazing.
I have had a poor experience in the nursing program. Some of the administration are disrespectful and fail to speak to us as adults. We had a teacher that really did not know her stuff and eventually she was replaced. The teachers she was replaced with are great. But we lost so much time, and tried to talk to the higher ups for so long. We could have solved this issue a long time ago. But the administration did not value our opinion and do not respect us.. instead they labeled us the "problem class" In reality, we were given the short end of the stick. No clinicals.... but the surgical tech program is doing clinicals at TGH... And I was told the nursing program at Erwin has been put on probation.
